Growing up, I was always enchanted by my mom's sailing stories. She would reminisce about her summers spent on the lakes of Minnesota, where her family would compete in sailing races. The thrill of the wind in the sails, the splash of the water, and the camaraderie shared with her loved ones painted vivid pictures in my mind. These stories have always held a special place in my heart.

Inspired by these cherished memories, we at Settlers Club are excited to introduce our first release of our flag collection. Designed to resemble people, places, and things that have a lot of meaning to us. This piece is more than just a decorative flag; it's a tribute to those timeless summer days and the sense of adventure and community that sailing embodies.

Our sail design is based on the elegant J-class boats, renowned for their participation in the America's Cup around the 1930’s. These boats, with their graceful lines and majestic sails, have always been my favorite. Their beauty and timeless design served as the perfect inspiration for our flag, capturing both the historical significance and aesthetic charm of these iconic vessels.

Living in Santa Barbara, I am constantly surrounded by the beauty and serenity of the ocean. The sight of sails dotting the horizon here reminds me of my mom's stories and the joy that sailing brought to her life. Our sail-inspired flag captures this essence, blending the nostalgic charm of my mom's experiences with the coastal elegance of Santa Barbara.
